Everyone at Nature's Earthly Choice™ is excited to bring you another healthy whole grain for your eating enjoyment. We have selected Hard Red Winter Wheat, also known as Wheat Berries, for this latest addition to our expanding line of wholesome grains. Wheat Berries are grains of wheat without the husk. They are a great source of fiber and they contain iron and 6 grams of protein per serving. Like our Farro and Quinoa products, Wheat Berries are extremely easy to use as side dishes, as additions to salads and soups, or even a breakfast cereal instead of oatmeal or cream of wheat.
We suggest that you cook a large batch of Nature's Earthly Choice™ Wheat Berries over the weekend and store it in the refrigerator. When you want a delicious whole grain for breakfast, simply scoop out a cup of the cooked Wheat Berries, add dried or frozen fruit, some nuts and a little milk, and microwave. Or for an easy side dish at dinner, sauté some vegetables until tender, add some Wheat Berries, a little olive oil and balsamic vinegar, and you have a healthy and wholesome alternative to a rice dish. (We suggest that you do not store your cooked Wheat Berries in the refrigerator for more than 7 days).
